JHS 2014-15 Teacher-of-the-Year
Mrs. Barbara Chandler

Mrs. Barbara Chandler was elected as Teacher-of-the-Year at JHS by
her fellow teachers. She teaches French I through IV and Spanish I.
She graduated from Columbia College in 1995. During one semester
of her college career, she went to study in Angers, France. She fell
in love with the French language, the culture, and the history. She
knew she was destined to become a high school French teacher.
She received her Masters Degree from the University of California in
Santa Barbara. Mrs. Chandler makes learning foreign languages fun
for the students in her classroom. She has been at JHS for twelve years
and has been in the teaching profession for nineteen years. She is
married to Bryan Chandler and has a son, Bryson, and a daughter, Elizabeth.
